Catch that light.
This photo was taken during a massive storm in Tel Aviv. I was completely soaked, standing out there with my old Nikon D40, trying to catch the right moment using a slow shutter. The sky was unreal, deep reds and purples swirling with thick clouds, and every few seconds lightning would tear through it like raw electricity. I didn’t even think about staying dry. I just stayed focused on the timing, the exposure, and the chance to capture something powerful.
When this bolt hit, I knew it was the shot. The lightning cut across the lower part of the frame, glowing blue against the dark sky, with the thunder following seconds later. There’s something so alive about storms like this, especially when you’re out in the middle of it, letting yourself be part of the chaos. The rain kept coming, and I kept shooting. Totally wet, totally worth it.
This image was captured with a Nikon D40 using a slow shutter speed. No filters, no tricks, just the right moment in the middle of one of the wildest storms I’ve experienced in Tel Aviv.
