A Pause Between Screams

In the middle of recording my music album, we built a small studio tucked in the woods of Saint Colomban. It was a cold, quiet day. Between vocal takes, I needed air, something to shake the noise off before screaming into the mic again.

I stepped outside with my camera, just for a breath.
That’s when I saw this view.

The lake was still, mirroring red roofed cabins, bare trees, and a sky dusted with soft clouds. The dock stretched out like an invitation to reflect, and everything in me calmed.

I took the shot.
I exhaled.
And something inside me softened.

This wasn’t just a break.
It was a moment.
