The forest green tree frog. | モリアオガエルの産卵期 (EN/JP)

Since last week, forest green tree flogs are came into spawning season.

The forest green tree frog is an endemic species to Japan and designated as a natural monument in certain areas.
In many cases, they spawns on the tree.
After the eggs hatched, the tadpoles dive into the water.

But they spawned on weeds that growing on ridges of our rice field.
After find the spawn on the weeds, I've been worried about I might take the habitat of creatures by mowing.

モリアオガエルの産卵の季節です。

１週間ほどまえから、田んぼのまわりにモリアオガエルのたまごがみられるようになりました。
木の上に産みつけられることが多いようですが、たんぼの畦に。

あわあわの卵からおたまじゃくしが孵ったら、水のなかに落ちる場所に産みつけているようで・・・かしこすぎます。
たまごがある時期は、田んぼ側の草は刈らないことにしました。

ここに産みつけられたたまごを見てから、田んぼの草刈りも
生き物の隠れる場所や、産卵場所、そして住処を奪ってしまっているのではと疑問に思うようになりました。
でも、穂がつく雑草は定期的に刈っておかないと
田んぼの中に雑草が生えやすくなってしまったり、イネに病気がうつるとも言われているし・・・。
なやましいです。

田んぼの水路にも卵を産んでいました。そして近くにヤマカガシが。
