Fireflies and mole cricket | ホタルとオケラ (EN/JP)

It is the best season for find fireflies in my city.
I can't help going out when I find a glow outside the window!
I could find about 20 fireflies while walking riverside.

このごろの郡上はホタルの季節です。
私の家の隣は川なので、夜８時ごろになるとちらほら光が。
川の近くを２００メートルほど歩いて、２０匹ほどみられました。
昔はホタルが玉？になって飛ぶほど、この辺りにもいたのだとか。

and, I saw a mole cricket for the first time.
It has hands like a mole and head was like a shrimp.
It was even bigger than I had thought.
I learned later that when catch mole cricket and grap gently, Its powerful forefoot pushes back the hand. I'd like to try that someday.

そして、生まれて初めて「おけら」といういきものをこの目で見ました。（田舎育ちなのに・・・）
思いの外大きくて、あたまはエビ、手はモグラ！下半身は・・・ちょっと気持ち悪・・・というのが感想です。笑
後から知ったのですが、オケラの前足の力は強いらしく、捕まえてやさしくつかんでみると前足で手を押してくるのだとか。つぎみかけたらやってみよう。
