Hoy quiero compartirles un dibujo que hice de uno de mis personajes favoritos de anime: Himura Kenshin, de Rurouni Kenshin. Siempre me ha gustado esa mirada intensa que tiene cuando sostiene su espada, así que quise intentar capturarla a lápiz.

Today I want to share a drawing I made of one of my favorite anime characters: Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin. I've always loved that intense look he has when he holds his sword, so I wanted to try to capture it in pencil.

Proceso / Process

Paso 1: El boceto base
Empecé con trazos muy suaves, solo marcando la forma del cabello, la espada y la posición del rostro. Sin detalles, solo para ubicar todo.

Step 1: The base sketch. I started with very light strokes, just marking the shape of the hair, the sword, and the position of the face. No details, just to place everything.

Paso 2: La mirada
Este es el paso más importante para mí. Los ojos lo son todo en este personaje. Los delineé con más fuerza y les agregué el iris y un poco de sombra para darle esa expresión seria y decidida.

Step 2: The gaze. This is the most important step for me. The eyes are everything in this character. I outlined them more strongly and added the iris and a bit of shading to give that serious and determined expression.

Paso 3: Detalles y sombreado
Al final, reforcé las líneas, agregué la cicatriz característica en su mejilla, sombreé el cabello y la katana para darle profundidad. Usé solo lápiz grafito, difuminando un poco con el dedo para suavizar las sombras.

Step 3: Details and shading. At the end, I reinforced the lines, added the characteristic scar on his cheek, and shaded the hair and the katana to give it depth. I used only graphite pencil, blending a bit with my finger to soften the shadows.
