Every Round Was a Challenge in This Epic Battle - An Interesting 56 Mana Battle
Today I got to play many battles but among all of them the battle I liked the most is the one I am sharing with you people. Even though I lost this battle but I still selected it because its modifiers were very interesting and challenging.
This was a 56 mana battle that is considered a high mana battle where both players got a full chance for selection. I also selected six monsters and my opponent also selected six units.
In high mana battles the real skill is how you keep your team balanced because here only attack is not enough, defense, support and combination all must be kept in mind. Every mana battle has its own different strategy which you must follow it.
In low mana battles we mostly select aggressive monsters so that enemy units can be eliminated quickly through continuous attacks. In mid mana battles the effort is to keep the defense line strong so enemy attacks cause less damage.
But in high mana battles the real challenge is to keep your defense line strong, make the attack line balanced and also include support monsters that keep giving benefits to the whole team.
I also followed the same strategy and used the best melee attackers, strong tank monsters, and an excellent support Archon that kept giving +1 armor to my team in every round.
In this battle there were three modifiers that were very interesting and thats the interesting part of the battle as well.
The first modifier was Up Close and Personal. Under this rule only units with melee power could be selected that means monsters that attack from close range. In such battles it becomes very important to use melee attackers that have abilities like Sneak so they can also attack enemy units in the back line.
The second modifier was Cripple. According to this rule whenever a unit successfully attacked the enemy then after the damage the enemy’s maximum health would reduce by an extra -1.
For example if a monster gave -2 damage then immediately after that the Cripple ability would reduce an extra -1 health. In this way after every successful attack the enemy kept becoming weaker.
The third modifier was Outsider under which only one wild unit was allowed to be used. These three rules made this battle very unique and strategic because every selection had to be made very carefully.
In the starting rounds of the battle my tank monster showed amazing performance and survived for a long time. But unfortunately my opponent had many monsters with the Sneak ability which kept continuously attacking my back line. As a result my support units got eliminated one by one.
Since health was continuously decreasing on both sides the battle was becoming quite slow but extremely interesting. I kept watching this battle till the end because after every round the situation was changing.
In the end it reached two versus one, where only one monster was left on my side while the enemy still had two units in the field. Although my last monster tried its best because of the opponent’s better attack it was also eliminated and in this way I had to face defeat.
Even though I could not win this battle but because of its rules, strategy and interesting combinations this remained my favorite battle of today. These are the kinds of battles that truly make Splinterlands more interesting and challenging.
I hope you find this post useful and informative.. If you do, please remember to reblog it so that it reaches as many people as possible and that they can benefit the most from it. Also remember to upvote which will help me financially and grow my account.
