DosKiwis Brewing: Cumple seis años.

DosKiwis Brewing es una cervecera artesanal asentada en Rupià, en el Empordà, Cataluña. Sus fundadores son Judit Piñol y Michael Jones. Catalana ella y neozelandés él. De ahí el nombre de la cervecera, pues el kiwi es el un animal típico del país y su símbolo más carcaterístico.

Ambos descubrieron su pasión por la cervecza artesana en Australia y Londres, lugares en los que vivieron y les picó este gusanillo.

Tras estos seis años,, DosKiwis se ha ganado un hueco dentro del panorama cervecero nacional gracias la elaboración de grandes cervezas en todos los estilos. Aunque las IPA son su punto fuerte.

La cerveza que aquí os muestro conmemora el sexto aniversario de la marca. Una IPA de corte moderno. Algo plana de sabor pero sin fallos.

El lúpulo Nelson Sauvin, originario de Nueva Zelanda, es el principal protagonista, aportando ese toque tan característico a uva blanca. También aparecen sabores tropicales y herbales más de fondo. 6.5º de alcohol que entran como el agua y refrescan estos días de calor que sufrimos.

DosKiwis Brewing: Turns Six

DosKiwis Brewing is a craft brewery based in Rupià, in the Empordà region of Catalonia. Its founders are Judit Piñol and Michael Jones. She is Catalan and he is a New Zealander. Hence the brewery's name, as the kiwi is the country's typical animal and its most characteristic symbol.

The two discovered their passion for craft beer in Australia and London, where they lived and caught the bug.

After six years, DosKiwis has earned a place on the national beer scene by producing great beers in all styles. Although IPAs are their strong suit.

The beer I'm showing you here commemorates the brand's sixth anniversary. A modern IPA. A somewhat flat flavor but without flaws.

The Nelson Sauvin hops, native to New Zealand, are the main protagonists, providing that characteristic white grape note. Tropical and herbal flavors also emerge in the background. 6.5% alcohol hits like water and refreshes these hot days we're suffering.
