Splinterlands:Chuma Marandu Went Beast Mode in Survival (Brute Force Ruleset).

Good day warriors! This is zusi78@zusi78.

Yesterday I bought a card regular foil and also rented same card gold foil and its name is Chuma Marandu,a sneaky and powerful high-impact melee-style dragon monster with strong overall stats and multiple abilities. Chuma Marandu is not just a card with strong stats — it is a real battlefield threat.

I played this card in one of my survival mode battles and he didn't disappoint. Before I continue, this is how I am faring in the three league I am into this season.

Frontier ranked — Gold I,with rating 2,980.

Modern ranked — Diamond III, with rating 2,840.

Survival mode — Gold I, with rating 2,540.
I so happy with my survival performance,Gold I and third on the leaderboard table with a possible 30k glints reward.

I am looking at earning a grand total of 170k glints at the end of the season.

Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building.Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥Now back to the topic of discourse, which was the card I bought and rented at the same time, Chuma Marandu.

My purchased card

Rented card for the rest of the season (Lv.2 gold foil).

FEATURED CARD.Chuma Marandu is a Legendary melee monster from the Conclave Arcana Reward Set in Splinterlands. It belongs to the Dragon element/splinter and carries the Ulund bloodline.
At max level its statistics are:
Mana Cost: 8
Melee Attack: 5
Armor: 4
Health: 9
Speed: 3

Key Abilities:
Chuma Marandu’s kit is highly synergistic for melee-focused or mixed battles. The four abilities are:
Sneak:Sneak.Targets the enemy unit in the last (backline) position.
This allows the monster to attack from any position on the team (not just the front). It is excellent for pressuring enemy backline damage dealers, healers, or support units while keeping Chuma safer in the middle or rear of your own formation.

Demoralize:

Demoralize.
All enemy units lose –1 melee power. This is a powerful team-wide debuff that stays active only while Chuma is alive. It is especially strong in “Only Melee” or melee-heavy rulesets, as it weakens the entire opposing frontline and any other melee attackers.

Retaliate:

Retataliate. It has 50% chance to counterattack after being hit by a successful melee attack (the counter can still occur even if Chuma is defeated by that attack).
This adds significant extra damage output and creates a deterrent against melee attackers. It can chain in certain matchups and benefits from Amplify.

Expose:

Expose. It hasb80% chance, after a successful attack, to remove one of the following from the target: Forcefield, Lookout, Deflect, Shield, Void, Void Armor, or Immunity.
Immunity is always prioritized and removed first if present. After that, one of the remaining listed abilities is removed randomly.
This is a high-value disruption ability that strips key defensive layers, making subsequent attacks (from Chuma or teammates) far more effective.

Market Value.

After buying a regular Level 1 Chuma Marandu for $1.16, I wanted to buy more to upgrade a little. I was surprised to see it now selling for $1.34. That’s a profit for me if I sell mine. As I speak, both the gold foil and regular versions are unavailable for rental.Battle:

After purchasing Chuma Marandu myself, I can confirm it’s a strong Legendary melee option for Dragon decks. What stands out most is the combination of solid raw damage, backline access through "Sneak, team-wide debuffing with "Demoralize.

It rewards careful positioning and good ruleset awareness, while giving both offensive pressure and defensive utility. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and see it as a valuable addition to my collection.
