Shopping Weekend.
Hello, friends here in this community, where we share what we do on the weekends. Some weekends are routine—like staying home—but there’s always one that’s different, like this one when I went shopping.
It was an unplanned outing, but since I received some money on Friday—and with the dollar being what it is—you have to spend it, but not recklessly, rather on things you need, since on weekends, at least in Venezuela, the dollar rate doesn’t change.
So after breakfast, I went out with my son, who came along. First, we went to print some templates for my new business venture. We took the bus—which at least showed up, since Saturdays are a nightmare—and as I rode along, I liked taking photos.
We arrived at the place where I went to print, which was across from the Bolivarian University of Venezuela. Since it was the weekend, there weren’t many people there, but I managed to get it done. I printed the templates and headed back to the bus stop.
The next stop was going to be at Paseo Orinoco. First, I went to buy some fabric, since my business has to do with fabric. I arrived at Castillo de las Telas; it wasn’t very crowded, and I was just looking for some scraps at the table. Sometimes there isn’t a saleswoman available, but one came over quickly.
After choosing and paying, we headed to Casa Bella, which sells haberdashery and everything related to it, but I didn’t find what I wanted, which was something for baking.
I was also checking how much money I had left to see how much more I could buy, because once the money runs out, the shopping is over and we have to head home.
That money I received was given to many people, since it was a payment from the government for something they owed, which is why the street was a bit crowded—more so than usual. The good thing was that the weather was nice and cool.
We went to the bus stop, waited for the bus, and made it home, thank God. At least I was able to get things done and buy supplies for my business venture.
