Behind the smiles L.O.H #297
Hello everyone, welcome to my blog.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation whereby you felt like sharing your thoughts with someone and changed your mind at the last minute?
Trust me you are not alone.
A lot of people hide emotions that they hardly discuss. It can be grief, anxiety, insecurity, jealousy, disappointment, loneliness and for some, self-doubt.
But people who find it hard to share what they are going through or how they feel, prefer to bury themselves in forced emotions or fake smiles everyday.
“Hi, how are you doing?”
“I'm fine.”
This line feels rehearsed. And many people use it everyday around the world. But for some it feels like solace. It helps them hide feelings or emotions they don't wanna talk about.
For me it's loneliness.
Society believes when you're surrounded with people, family and friends it automatically means you're happy. But that's not entirely true.
And I don't talk about my loneliness because I don't wanna be a burden to anyone and i don't wanna be embarrassed too.
And I don't think I feel that way anymore. I don't know how but, it's probably because I found peace in being alone. Just me and my space and it feels good.
I don't feel safe when people know too much about me.
It sounds easy but it's difficult to share emotions with people.
I have a little bit of trust issues so it's very hard for me. If I can trust someone or find someone trustworthy I should be able to share my emotions.
I can easily parse my heart to a good listener. Someone who just listens and doesn't judge. I believe that way I will feel safe.
Lastly, emotions make us feel alive. It's part of what makes us valuable as humans.
And most times music and movies also helps me manage my emotions.
Sometimes it doesn't necessarily have to be a solution, we need something to bring us out of our shell and from there the solution comes in.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a blissful week.
