NEEDLEWORKMONDAY-Nuevas prendas nuevos desafíos. [New clothes, new challenges.]

Feliz lunes needleworkers :3 mi entrega final de corsetería ya pasó por suerte, pero vamos camino a la segunda donde hay que hacer corpiños y partes inferiores, como bóxer, vedetina y ese tipo de prendas, pero mi entrega tuvo otras prendas aparte del body negro y el azul, en este caso fue un cubrecabeza y un nuevo body.

Happy Monday needleworkers :3 My final corsetry assignment has thankfully passed, but we're on our way to the second one where we have to make bras and bottoms, like boxer shorts, bikinis and that kind of garment, but my assignment had other garments besides the black and blue bodysuits, in this case it was a head covering and a new bodysuit.

El body verde no es un nuevo molde, sino que es el body negro, pero en una tela que estira y mucho, esta tela es mágica jajaja, el talle es un 42, pero yo que soy un talle 48 puedo usarlo sin problemas, eso es mágico.

The green bodysuit isn't a new design; it's the same as the black bodysuit, but in a very stretchy fabric. This fabric is magical, haha. The size is 42, but I, who am a size 48, can wear it without any problems. That's magic.

En cuanto al elástico compré uno nuevo que es más grueso, es de unos 2 cm, pero también es más rígido, así que para coser esto tuve que estirar mucho más, lo malo es que esto lo descubrí cuando ya había empezado a coser.

As for the elastic, I bought a new one that is thicker, about 2 cm, but it is also more rigid, so to sew this I had to stretch it much more, the bad thing is that I discovered this when I had already started sewing.

El armado del body es así, primero la espalda, que está en dos partes por que lleva una especie de pinza de entalle, así que vamos a coser esto primero.

The bodysuit is assembled like this: first the back, which is in two parts because it has a kind of waist dart, so we're going to sew this first.

Después cosí la v del escote, esto es más simple si lo hago antes de unir las piezas.

Then I sewed the V of the neckline; this is simpler if I do it before joining the pieces.

Luego se une por hombros y entrepierna, en esta parte es dónde debería tener un refuerzo, pero eso no existe aún.

Then it joins at the shoulders and crotch; this is where it should have reinforcement, but that doesn't exist yet.

Luego toca elastizar, yo hice piernas, sisa y después el cuello, pero acá no hay como una receta, ya que cada parte es independiente. Entonces se puede empezar por cualquier parte, solo que, si creo que el escote debería estar terminado antes de hacer el cuello, es mucho más fácil hacerlo de esta manera.

Next comes the elasticizing. I did the legs, armholes, and then the neckline, but there's no set method, as each part is independent. So you can start anywhere, but I think the neckline should be finished before the neckline; it's much easier to do it that way.

Para el cubrecabezas hice el molde y lo corté, la verdad esto fue bastante una lotería, el molde por momentos era confuso y decidí hacerlo con las medidas estándar en vez de unas propias, y rezar en que la tela ayudaría, todavía no fui a la tienda de telas, me estoy manejando con las que tengo disponibles por ahora.

For the head covering, I made the pattern and cut it out. To be honest, this was quite a lottery. The pattern was confusing at times, and I decided to use standard measurements instead of my own, and pray that the fabric would help. I haven't been to the fabric store yet; I'm working with what I have available for now.

Corté las partes del molde en papel nuevo y estas mismas partes en tela, son 3 partes, dos de la parte posterior y una de la parte del frente, pero decidí tomar algunas decisiones y hacer un corte en el frente para poder terminar el visor.

I cut the pattern pieces out of new paper and these same pieces out of fabric. There are 3 pieces, two for the back and one for the front, but I decided to make some decisions and make a cut in the front to be able to finish the visor.

Usé el elástico partido, pero esto no fue una buena idea, el visor está un poco chico, y como lo hice un día antes de la entrega jaja no tuve tiempo de corregirlo, ya aprendí mi lección con esto.

I used the split elastic, but this wasn't a good idea; the visor is a bit small, and since I did it the day before the deadline, haha, I didn't have time to fix it. I've learned my lesson from this.

Uní todo el cubrecabeza con overlock, si bien mi tela estira, se siente un poco apretado, realmente es una prenda que no usaría, pero seguro haga algún tocado para otra materia en algún momento así que me sirve la experiencia.

I joined the whole head covering with an overlock stitch. Although my fabric stretches, it feels a bit tight. It's really not a garment I would wear, but I'll probably make a headpiece for another subject at some point, so the experience is useful.

Para terminar, usé elástico partido en la parte inferior, esto fue otro error, porque la tela es demasiado fina para lo grueso que es este elástico, pero ya aprendí.

Finally, I used split elastic at the bottom, this was another mistake, because the fabric is too thin for how thick this elastic is, but I've learned my lesson.

Mi entrega fue moldes y prendas, entregue todo lo que tenía y también nos pidieron videos para ver cómo se comportan las prendas en un cuerpo real, en este caso fue mi hermana quien se probó todo, por suerte esa parte salió bastante bien. lo próximo son prendas inferiores y superiores, pero eso será para otra ocasión ya que hay mucha moldaría que hacer.

My submission consisted of patterns and garments. I delivered everything I had, and they also asked us for videos to see how the garments fit on a real body. In this case, my sister tried everything on, and luckily that part went quite well. Next up are lower and upper garments, but that will have to wait for another time since there's a lot of pattern making to do.
