The Thyme
Hello fellow Hive! Today I want to talk about an aromatic herb that is known worldwide for its unmistakable smell, intense flavor and great health benefits, it is a super plant called Thyme, whose scientific name is: Thymus Vulgaris, which is native to Europe and Asia, North Africa and Greenland, but over time and with the help of trade routes it has been able to reach the farthest corners of the planet.
Thyme was initially used for its powerful medicinal qualities, in ancient Greece it was widely used in the cure of serious wounds, also during the European Middle Ages this herb was used to fight diseases such as dyspnea or asthma, today it is still a highly coveted product since with it infusions can be made that help in the fight against various pathologies, in addition various pharmaceutical companies have synthesized its properties to create various drugs or medicines, in the Venezuelan case about a year ago the government announced the invention of an antiviral (Carvativir) that would later become part of the first-line drugs in the fight against COVID-19.
Apart from its use in the field of medicine, Thyme is also widely appreciated in the world of cooking, my mother has always liked the flavor that it gives to meat, fish and chicken, that is why it is always in the kitchen. search for grass to prepare their delicious meals, but it turns out that here in my city it is a bit difficult to find and its strength is quite high, fortunately a few weeks ago a great friend of the house was visiting us and as a surprise he brought my mom a large package of Thyme, without a doubt this has been one of the best gifts she has received, since it filled her with great joy, immediately from that day the Thyme returned to the dishes of our house and with the wine its great flavor and its incredible properties.

El Tomillo
Hola compañeros de Hive! Hoy les quiero hablar sobre una hierba aromática que es mundialmente conocida por su inconfundible olor, intenso sabor y grandes beneficios para la salud, se trata de una súper planta llamada Tomillo, cuyo nombre científico es: Thymus Vulgaris, la cual es originaria de Europa y Asia, África del Norte y Groenlandia, pero con el pasar de tiempo y con la ayuda de las rutas comerciales ha podido llegar hasta los rincones más lejanos del planeta.
El tomillo fue usado inicialmente por sus potentes cualidades medicinales, en la antigua Grecia era ampliamente usado en la cura de heridas graves, además durante el Medioevo europeo esta hierva fue usada para luchar contra enfermedades como la disnea o el asma, en la actualidad sigue siendo un producto altamente codiciado ya que con él se pueden elaborar infusiones que ayudan en la lucha contra diversas patologías, además diversas empresas farmacéuticas han sintetizado sus propiedades para crear diversas drogas o medicinas, en el caso venezolano hace aproximadamente un año el gobierno anuncio la invención de un antiviral (Carvativir) que posteriormente pasaría a formar parte de los medicamentos de la primera línea en la lucha contra el COVID- 19.
Aparte de su uso en el campo de la medicina el Tomillo también es ampliamente apreciado dentro del mundo de la cocina, a mi madre siempre le ha gustado el sabor que este le aporta a las carnes, pescados y pollos, por eso siempre está en la búsqueda de hierba para preparar sus ricas comidas, pero resulta que acá en mi ciudad es un poco difícil de encontrar y su recio es bástate elevado, afortunadamente hace unas semanas un gran amigo de la casa nos estuvo visitando y como sorpresa le trajo a mi mama una gran paquete de Tomillo, sin duda que este ha sido uno de los mejores regalos que ella ha recibido, ya que la lleno de mucha alegría, de forma inmediata a partir de se día el Tomillo regreso a los platos de nuestra casa y con el vino su gran sabor y sus increíbles propiedades.
