UNDERSTANDING HAPPINESS...
In the journey of life, happiness is that one thing we all crave and ever want whether we show how much we want it or not. Different person have their definition of happiness, some believe having a lot of money is happiness while some believe having peace of mind is but either way, they are both important to truly be happy.
But I believe being happy doesn’t mean you should have the whole world you can find happiness In a person, thing, or place and the main goal of happiness is to be contented.
The seek of happiness could lead us to doing some things we should never have done but when we’re contented we tend to be even happier with the little we have.
Most times I struggle to be happy because I have a lot I want to achieve and I have a lot of mapped-down plans. Still, whenever I remember the journey of life I congratulated and celebrated myself for a job well done and within a matter of minutes I’m back to being myself. My definition of happiness is to be comfortable and easily handle my bills regardless of the odds.
Below are other ways happiness can be achieved;
- Celebrate your wins:
No matter how little whatever you’ve achieved don’t always see it as something little appreciate and celebrate yourself because it might look like a small journey but a lot person have given up at that stage.
- Don’t see failure as a bad thing:
When we try a thing or two and we fail in them we stop believing in ourselves which could bring us to a state of depression and low self-esteem instead and more energy to the skill or activity and letting that failure be the fuel to our success.
- Run away from pressure:
Peer pressure and environmental pressure are the main reasons people lose their joy and happiness. Always comparing yourself to another won’t help you grow instead it will either make you do the wrong thing or hinder you from being happy. comparison is a thief of joy.
- prioritize self-care:
take care of your physical, mental, and emotional health by engaging in activities that nourish you. you can decide to step out and have fun all by yourself or with a group of like minds.
stay away from all kinds of things that will mentally and physically stress you.
Happiness is a light that guides our paths in life and the moment we deprive ourselves of it we might end up losing our way and forever regret it. Also be the reason someone is happy starting from today.
