I’M SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 20-25

Compliments of the season dear Hivians.

I’m so thrilled to be a part of this week’s contest. In previous years, topics regarding new year resolutions or new year goals did not make so much sense to me, what I did was to jump and pass but this year-2025, I’m stopping by and I’ll be sharing with you, my new year resolutions for the year 2025.

Though I’m a young lady, I’m somewhere between 20 - 25 years. I want to be intentional about my life this year onward, if I don’t… I’m sure you know that the years you have to live as an adult or aged person are longer than the years you have as a young person, and in my observation, the transition from young age to old age is usually faster.

Hence, my New Year resolutions for the year 2025:

First, I plan to be consistent with my hive account, making at least one post everyday on Hive. To achieve this, I got a diary and a pen specifically for my hive write-ups.

I chose a diary and a pen (a traditional method of writing) over typing on an android because inspirations flows the more when I write with a pen and a book; other than that, I would get easily discouraged and distracted using an android.

Furthermore, my New Year resolutions for the year 2025 will really go wrong if I do not have my friends included in my plans. This year, my dad, has really emphasized on the importance of being a giver; that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

So, for my friends, I plan on having a savings account where I can be saving my money every weekend with the least amount being, 1000 naira. I plan to surprise them either with a cash gift or buy something valuable for them as their birthday gift. This is something I have not been doing; it has always been birthday wishes like “I wish you long life and prosperity”. Where will the prosperity come from my dear Hivians? (LOL) I want to be the first to sow the seed of prosperity I have been wishing them all these years.

In addition, I can’t count the number of times I receive compliments from both my friends and strangers, which they love the way I walk. You do know that walking style, whereby your left leg crosses your right leg and vice-versa- I’m talking about the cat-walking style. This is something I did not learn to do, it was just natural.

So, my aim, is to hire a cat-walk coach to practice more and be a pro in cat-walking. This is important to me because I believe the way you walk speaks a lot about you.

In conclusion, I believe New Year resolutions should be explicit, simple and realistic. In all, commit all you want to achieve into God’s hands and it will be established.
