Thoughtful Daily Post || Something Like A Check In

What happened to the time? I swear it was only a few months ago that I created a Where ya been, Wes? post. That was almost a year ago... I'd love to report that things were better, but that would be a lie. Now, don't get me wrong! I am appreciative of waking up every single morning. That is more than we could ever hope for each day, but since last we shared words... I have had two surgeries. You see, I had two kidney stones trapped in my right ureter (look it up, but be warned... it will hurt looking at it). I had been putting the pain off for quite some time, and I finally had to tell my other half... "We gotta go to the ER". They thought I was having an appendix attack, so they ordered a CT Scan (and some Morphine) to see what was going on. One minute I am waiting... the next I am being admitted to the hospital, and surgery was scheduled that morning. I had a UTI, as well as a kidney, ureter, and bladder infection. I also had urine backed up in my right kidney (Hydronephrosis)... needless to say, I was in pretty bad shape. After not getting any sleep, the next morning came... I will spare you the details of the first surgery... I was put under General Anesthesia, of course.

I was sent home after the first surgery, and told they would need to perform a second surgery, as some of the stone wasn't able to be removed the first time; I was told it was in the shape of a pretzel stick. The second surgery went well, and they left a stent in my ureter so things could drain properly (yes, TMI). The stent removal was an outpatient procedure... all I can say is ouch. This took place in January of this year, and sadly, I think I have more kidney stones in the same ureter... I have had the same pain and discomfort since my April Neurologist appointment. Oh... that's the second part of the "Check- In". My Multiple Sclerosis has gone from Relapsing/Remitting, to Secondary Progressive... I mean, as if things weren't already a challenge! I agreed to the MRIs to check on my Multiple Sclerosis condition, but refused any new DMT (Disease Modifying Treatments). Now I am trying to hold on for an appointment to see the Urologist on June 29th (I really don't want to have to go to the ER again $$$). So now, it is a waiting game!

I still do all I can to help my other half care for my mom, even though my other half is doing everything that requires the daily things needed... cooking, cleaning, trash, lawn care, etc. So... before this gets any longer, I wanted you all to know I wasn't ignoring you. As I mentioned in my last post, I have no plans of leaving our Blockchain. I'm just experiencing that thing that our dear friends from the Inner Blocks Community always focused on: #lifehappening! I appreciate all of you who are still posting in my community, using the TAG, and of course, everyone who is delegating their precious Hive Power. I am still dropping by the many Discord Servers I'm in as I can... I'd better get this wrapped up before I get blamed for crashing the Blockchain!! Sending all the love and positive energy I have... up, and out...
