Cooking and Catching Up: Weekend Samgyeopsal with Family | Phone Photography #82

Hello my dear Hive friends! πŸ’– I wish you all well and hope you're having a wonderful day πŸ™

On weekends, my family and I have time to eat together. On weekdays, my sister and cousin and I have work. My cousin only gets home every weekend. So, one day, we decided to eat Samgyeopsal.

Because of the Korean Wave in the Philippines, many Filipinos are also into Korean Drama, including us. One of the meals that people in Korean dramas often eat is Samgyeopsal. That's why it has also become popular in the Philippines and many Samgyeopsal restaurants have also opened here.

Luckily, there is one Samgyeopsal restaurant at the mall near us. And the name of this restaurant is Samgyupsalamat. They have lots of pork and beef choices for Samgyeopsal. They also serve free iced tea for drinks.

The Samgyeopsal restaurants here have a great offer. Most of them are β€˜eat all you can’. The price here is fixed per head, whether you eat a little or a lot. This promo is also really worth it if someone can eat a lot of Samgyeopsal. However, left-over food is not allowed because it will incur an additional charge.

If you are eating alone, the price is more expensive, so it is good to have someone to dine with. They also have a birthday promo, where you will be exempt from paying on your birthday as long as you have three people with you who will pay.

When eating at Samgyeopsal restaurants, you cook the meats you order by yourself. They have grill pans in the middle of each table where you can cook. Initially, they’ll give you 2-3 flavors of Samgyeopsal of your choice, then they will also give you iced tea, lettuce, rice, sauce, cheese and side dishes. When you finish that, you can ask for more. Just raise your hand or call the crew around and they will refill what you need.

We had 4 rounds because there were five of us, and one more thing, Samgyeopsal is really our favorite. This kind of meal is perfect for families and friends because apart from bonding, you will also be full. The closeness that this kind Korean culture has instilled is also wonderful ✨
