"Sirya, to what do I owe your presence?" Mildred asked as she creaked the door open.

The man in the hooded cloak didn't answer. He stormed inside, the air shifting, and seated himself on the high chair. As mildred approached, he pulled back his hood.

She froze. A laugh nearly escaped her lips, but she bit it back. Before her sat the creature; once their proud chief, now twisted, his face marred by scales. His eyes, no longer human, burned with desperation.

"Can you reverse it?" His voice cracked.

Mildred stared at the creature, the hair at the nape of her neck stirring. She scratched absently. "I think so..." she muttered, shrugging her shoulders.

"Then reverse it!" he roared, slamming a clawed hand on the table.

"Uuuhm...there must be a spell in here somewhere," Mildred said, fumbling through the brittle pages of the old spellbook, her fingers trembling.
