He ate what??? she asked again, this time slowly, unable to believe the events that had unfolded in her absence.

"How I wish I had been there just to watch his downfall!” she burst out, unable to contain her laughter. “Tell me more, abeg,” she said, tugging on her best friend’s sleeve. Jenny turned to face her, her expression lighting up with the enthusiasm of the coming tale.

“I can’t believe my ears, since I wasn’t there to witness it. I bet he will never show his face again. Where will he hide it now?” she mused, cocking her head to the side.

Ha! I can’t believe that finally the high and mighty Steve had his downfall, and not to mention, in my absence! That’s unfair! "Dear universe, why did you conspire against me?” she cried out loud.

“I was really dying to see the day that ‘almighty Steve’ would fall and eat dirt, and now he did...and I wasn’t even there to witness it? Uuurgh, this is not fair at all!” she grunted.
