She couldn’t suppress her laughter. As much as she tried to cover it with a cough, it was evident that she didn’t have a cough or flu in that matter. Her colleague and best friend pinched her hard.

“Ouch,” she said, not looking at her best friend. He tried to follow her gaze to what had caught her attention, and when he spotted it too, he had to look away fast to cover his suppressed outburst.

“This was ridiculous. If the manager sees us laughing, we’ll be in for a hell lot of trouble.” He could feel her laughing gaze on him, and he knew best not to look at her lest he could no longer suppress his laughter. He tried taking in deep short breaths and smoothing his face to hide his urge of laughing out loud.

“What the hell?” he thought. Placing his palm on his face to seal off the urge to look at her, he tried to concentrate on the matter at hand.
