Depression comes when we allow the situations of life to overwhelm us. When we do not consider the Word of God but fix our eyes on the things of the world, we are bound to be frustrated when things do not turn out in the way that we expect. The Bible should be our comfort and consolation irrespective of what the world may bring. The world will certainly bring out some conditions that make us not to be happy. We should learn to live above everything that troubles us. We should do like David. The Bible says that David encouraged himself in the Lord is God.

Those times will certainly come. You will need to tap from the strength within to encourage yourself. That inner strength comes from the word of God that we have inside of us. The strength comes from our faith in God and in ourselves. We believe firmly that God will make everything work for our good. That is the strength that keeps us going when everything else refuses to work or to encourage us. As a believer in Jesus, do not let the situations in the world determine or dictate your life. Always look up to God. This is a great word of encouragement: irrespective how things are now, life is still worth living. Life is good.
