Whoever named this mode "Wild" deserves a round of applause. Of course, we already know that in this mode, you can freely summon cards from all the sets available on Splinterlands without restriction (provided they are in your deck), but there is a huge difference between imagining it and actually seeing and experiencing it. I’ve spent my time in Wild mode so far just trying to wrap my head around this massive buffet of cards. Someone suggested setting up a bot to play on my behalf for the entire season and earn rewards; since other pro players do the same, a bot would be a good way to compete against them. I’ve thought about it—and might actually do it next season—but not this one. You see, I’ve witnessed card sets performing in this mode that I had never seen before and hadn't even imagined. A bot can only battle using the best cards available in the deck, right? But to have the best range of cards in the deck—which is obviously up to me to add—I first need to understand just how "wild" players get in this mode and how those new cards I'm seeing for the first time actually perform alongside the others.

Since my mindset is currently shaped by the Level 1 and Level 2 cards in my deck and my current difficulty level, I’ll only be able to build a superior deck—capable of summoning the best possible cards for the bot to perform effectively on my behalf—once I understand how formidable the cards become at higher levels and what kind of "super cards" exist in other sets. So, the bottom line is that I’ll play this season manually without the bot, and perhaps use the bot next season once I have a better understanding of the game. Over the course of yesterday, I unlocked the Silver League after clearing Bronze League Tier 1, earning "Wild Rewards" for unlocking both tiers. Unlocking Bronze League Tier 1 gave me 5 Minor Chests, while unlocking Silver 3 gave me 4 Minor Chests and 1 Major Chest; these rewards will improve further as I advance through the tiers. I used Legendary and Alchemy Potions for both sets of rewards. However, before claiming the rewards for either tier, I noticed a note at the bottom stating that to get a 10x reward multiplier, one needs to have a specific amount of SPS staked—for instance, Silver 3 rewards require between 3,800 and 10,400 staked SPS, depending on your rating. I believe I likely secured the 10x multiplier for both tiers, though I don't have concrete confirmation of that.

Speaking of rewards, the rewards for Bronze Tier 1 were far more attractive compared to those for Silver 3. You can see the Bronze 1 rewards in the screenshot above; along with a Legendary Potion Charge, I received 34 Merits, as well as one Common and two Rare cards. The Common melee attack card isn't your typical Common card—it belongs to the 'Arcana's Extras' set, meaning it can be summoned using two different elements and possesses the 'Charge' ability, allowing me to place it anywhere in the lineup I choose. I currently have this card at Level 1, but I hope to upgrade it to higher levels soon. As for the two Rare cards—one Magic and one Ranged attack—I have both upgraded to Level 2 and use them regularly. Overall, I was quite pleased with the Bronze 1 rewards, which made me optimistic about future rewards in this mode; however, upon unlocking Silver 3, I realized it might have just been luck. The Silver 3 rewards—which included a Major Chest—yielded only about 134 Merits, 5 Energy, and a single entry. Right now, I am struggling in Silver 1, but I hope to unlock the Gold League this season.

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
