Splinterlands: Opened 10 Rare Draws with 50 Alchemy Potions!🔥

I had already purchased over 20 Rare and nearly 25 Common draws earlier this season, so I had planned to accumulate enough Glint to buy at least one Legendary draw by the season's end. However, with only three days left, my Glint earnings are far short of the requirement for a Legendary draw. So, I decided to drop the idea of ​​a Legendary draw for now and focus solely on Rare draws, planning something better for the next season. By the way, I should mention that next season I plan to play in Wild mode for the first time in my Splinterlands journey; @seattlea and @alokkumar121 Bhai have also suggested it. However, I’ve heard that battles there are tougher than in Modern mode because most pro players use bots, which are relatively hard to beat. Still, if I can execute my strategies well, the rewards in Wild mode can be up to twice as good as in Modern. Ever since the Arcana set was added to the reward pool, I hadn't won a single Gold card—despite using Alchemy Potions every time—until I recently noticed something important. Whenever you use Alchemy Potions while opening a draw or a reward chest, the screen displays exactly how many potions are required for that specific reward. It’s a simple detail, but I’m sure many new players don't realize that not every reward costs just one Alchemy Potion to open. For instance, while climbing ranks, rewards usually consume one Alchemy Potion per chest, and purchasing a Common draw also costs one potion; however, opening a Rare draw requires five potions per draw, and a Legendary draw requires a total of twenty-five. I used to overlook this; I would buy ten draws and ten potions, thinking I was giving it my "100% effort." But at a rate of five potions per Rare draw, if I only had ten potions, the boost was applied to just two Rare draws, while the rest were opened without it. So, my advice is to check the required number of Alchemy or Legendary potions before opening your rewards. If you’re short on potions, purchase them from the Consumables shop first, and then open your rewards.

Well, this time I used the 50 Alchemy Potions required for all 10 rare draws, yet I didn't pull a single gold card. But look, there are no guarantees; it’s entirely a game of luck. By default, there’s a 0.5% chance of getting a gold foil card, which doubles to 1% when using Alchemy Potions—but 1% is still quite low, so getting a gold card really comes down to luck.

That said, if we look at the cards themselves, they are actually quite good. However, across those 10 draws, I only got 6 unique cards because there were duplicates (two copies each of four cards); while duplicates don't count as distinct individual cards, I actually use every single one of them—except for the 'Careless Badger'—in my daily battles, and they all perform really well. Among them, I’ve already upgraded the 'Anchor-Hex Adept' to Level 2; at this level, it gains the 'Divine Shield' ability, providing it with an extra layer of protection. Similarly, I’ve upgraded the Water element’s 'Torrent Sniper' to Level 2, where its magic attack power increases from 1 to 2. Another card that became much more powerful after upgrading to Level 2 is the Death element’s 'Gravebrand Warlock'; it gains a new ability called 'Swiftness,' which boosts the speed of not just this card but the entire team. So, all in all, apart from one, I use all these cards and am consistently leveling them up using the duplicates. While a single card might not reach Level 3 or higher just from these copies, every little bit adds up—after all, "drop by drop, the pitcher fills"—so every copy matters.

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy.
