Splinterlands: An ultimate battle of this brawl!🔥
Out of the six elements, only three—Earth, Death, and Dragon—were available for battle. While the mana cap was quite generous (as seen in the screenshot above), the key factors to consider when summoning cards were the unique rulesets: "What Doesn't Kill You" and "Dragon Breath." The first empowered melee cards, while the second granted a special ability to Magic and Ranged attack cards, activating a burning effect upon hitting the target. This implied that while any attack type could be used, Magic cards would be the best choice; furthermore, it seemed advantageous to select cards with high health. Additionally, I chose the Earth element's "Elowen Sylphie," primarily because her "Resurgence" ability was going to be extremely useful to me.
Right at the start of the second round of this battle, the burning effect took out the enemy's frontline card; although my own frontline card was also on the verge of being knocked out, the enemy's 'Endless Ape' tank fell first. With only two key cards remaining behind my weakened tank, the numbers made it appear as though my forces were too weak to withstand the enemy—a suspicion that seemed confirmed when, following the knockout of one of their cards, two of my most important cards were eliminated in quick succession. Yet, the real game-changer—a unique power play—hadn't even come into play yet: I am referring to the 'Resurgence' ability I had bestowed upon two of my cards.
When this power first activated for Quora Towershead, she reappeared after being knocked out—restored to full health and with all her abilities intact. In a sense, this was a new avatar of the card, possessing the exact same powers she had at the start of the battle. You could say that a card with the 'Resurgence' ability is effectively two cards in one, as this ability grants an immediate extra life after defeat. So, just when the opponent thought they had knocked out my most crucial card and victory was within reach, Resurgence worked its magic; Quora Towershead reappeared, fully revitalized and ready for action.
With this rebirth, every card on the battlefield—including those from your own team—takes 1 point of health damage. Although the newly revived card cannot attack during that specific round, its return with full health, armor, and attack power can prove pivotal in turning the tide of battle. Thanks to Archon Elowen Sylphie’s powers, I had not just one or two, but effectively four such cards at my disposal. Even outside of Brawl battles, you can use this ability on your regular cards; simply grant a second life via the 'Resurgence' ability to any card that could prove to be a nightmare for the enemy, place it strategically in the lineup, and sit back to enjoy the battle.
Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
