Splinterlands: An ultimate battle of this Guild Brawl!🔥
I participated in a total of three battles in this brawl; I gave my best in all of them and emerged victorious in every one. However, one of these battles stands out because I deviated from my usual strategy: instead of placing a heavy melee card in the tank position, I opted for a magic card. Even though the ruleset was "Melee Mayhem," I focused primarily on magic cards, keeping the team size small while prioritizing high-power cards. There was no specific reason for choosing Underboss Fabino in the Archon slot, other than the fact that the "Fallen Legends" ruleset was in effect, which banned Legendary Archons from the battle. Well, building a team with magic cards effectively nullifies the +2 armor gained from the enemy's 'Protect' ability, since magic attacks generally aren't affected by armor anyway.
The opponent had placed that specific card at the very front—acting as a tank—likely as a strategy to safeguard their heavy attackers; however, the enemy's so-called tank was taken down during the initial exchange of attacks. While my own tank suffered the same fate when the opponent took their turn, my key cards were positioned behind the frontline—including the super-monster 'Quora Towershead.' This card possesses both the 'Bloodlust' and 'Heal' abilities, allowing it to restore one-third of its maximum health each round. The challenge for the opponent in this battle, however, was the massive damage output of my cards, combined with Quora Towershead’s ability to boost all its stats by +1 with every killing blow it landed.
Yes, that is exactly why I like this card so much. You can simply place it a bit back from the front line and relax; in most cases, this card alone paves the way to victory. I have won many battles relying solely on this card, so whenever there are no restrictions, I make sure to use it. Watch this battle in full to see this power in action, and you will realize how Quora Towershead proves to be a nightmare for the enemy. I was able to use it from the second position in this particular battle because the ruleset was 'Melee Mayhem,' which granted the 'Charge' ability to all melee cards, allowing them to attack from anywhere in the lineup.
Apart from that, another key card in this battle was the magic monster 'Forlorn Geomancer'. Although its low base speed makes it somewhat weak, its attacks usually take down any card in a maximum of two hits—and that is exactly what happened in this battle. Technically speaking, I had only two attacking cards; you could consider the frontline unit as one too, but it was eliminated without even launching an attack. So, in action, it was just two of my cards that crushed the enemy.
Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
