The reputation score on Steem blockchain is dependent to total "Rshares" (Reward shares) you receive via upvotes and total Rshares you receive via downvotes on your posts or comments.

To put it simply, consistent engagement within the blockchain doesn't affect your reputation score, only upvotes and downvotes do. Also, reputation score on Steem blockchain is a logarithmic function. What does that mean? It means that it's 10 times harder to increase your reputation score compared to the previous increase and that also applies to decreasing reputation score. So basically:

• Increasing reputation score from 26 to 27 is 10 times harder compared to increasing reputation score from 25 to 26
• Increasing reputation score from 27 to 28 is 10 times harder compared to increasing reputation score from 26 to 27
• And so on...

Your reputation score as I am writing this is 51 which is a relatively high one. You don't need to worry about it as it's completely normal as that's the way reputation score works on Steem.
