PoB - Vote Weight Multiplier

Are you using the vote weight multiplier on PoB?

It might be a good idea to change it if you are not just active on PoB or if you don't have an exclusive account for PoB.

Generally, users use different Dapps when interacting with the Hive blockchain: Peakd, Hive.blog, PoB, Leo etc. When you do this and vote on posts that you regard as interesting a vote weight multiplier makes sense when the posts you vote for are located in different communities and only a certain amount of your total votes go to that specific community. For example, if half your votes are on Hive (without a tokenized community) and the other half go to PoB, it would then make sense to set the multiplier to 2. Or when your votes are equally split up so that 1/3 of the votes go to Leo, PoB and Hive, then setting the multiplier to 3 for Leo and PoB would make sense.

If you do not do this, you might see that your voting power in those communities stays close to 100% as your votes are distributed to different communities with the same weight. To use more of your voting power in e.g. PoB you should multiply your voting power by more than 1. It's not always obvious how your votes are split up, but if you vote manually you can start paying attention to it and "get a feel" for it and just try some different values out and see if you voting power remains too high or too low. Alternatively you could also go to https://hivestats.io/ and check out your past voting behavior and see where your votes went.

So to change this go to https://leodex.io/rewards and press the lightning symbol on the right. A pop out window will come up and you can change the values accordingly.

I think it makes sense to experiment around with this and see how your voting power changes over the days. For example, my voting power is too low after I changed the multiplier to 7 for PoB. I lowered it to 5 now and this might be more accurate. It's important that you try and optimize this as idle voting powers of 100% are not distributing rewards to the community optimally.
