DIY / Recycled Planters
And so I found this elbow PVC pipe and an old ice bucket in the backyard. I was thinking of a way to recycle it, and i remember I have a hanging plant to repot. These two will be good planters.
But wait, the PVC pipe needs wash up as it was filled with soil and cement. After washing it, it looked presentable. These two needs drainage holes. For the PVC, I used soldering iron, while a nail and hammer for the bucket.
For the soil, I fill it up with garden soil mixed with cocopeat. They say cocopeat is cool for the plants, good as summer is coming. It will also hold water, as the sunshines hot which makes the soil dry out fast.
Planted the Baby Tears plant on both ends of the pipe. Viola! The pot looks like there are water coming out of its mouth!

And the bucket, the plant looked like a spilled water!
I hope you like it. If not, please comment on how can I improve since I am new to planting ornamental plants. I was a working mom for more than two decades so I am still trying to be a plantmom 😅😂😅
