A New Cage For Chickens
We have four chickens given by a friend. They are Basilan, which is an indigenous breed from Mindanao, Philippines. It is commonly bred for cock fighting.
Chicken of this breed grows up to 2.2 kilos for males and about 1.5 kilos for hens. To give you an idea what the mature rooster looks like, here's a picture from the net as reference:

Though we are not fond of game fowls, my husband accepted and decided to care for them.
And guess what? He even made a cage for them!
So here he is as he builds a cage made of steel.
After painting it, he then placed them at the back of our house.
Look at them inside their new home!
During the day, they are taken out of the cage for them to freely roam and feed on worms and grasses.
Here they are resting under the vegetable plant.
I am not sure if they are all males or there's a female among the four of them. Well, I can feature them again when they grow up to let you know. 😁
