Managing inflation

It's no longer news that the world at large is suffering from inflation and it's very alarming. The salaries we earn on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis are no longer enough to live life to the state of comfortability. We've been adjusting and adjusting in our ways of life to fit into the situation but the more we do, the more the situation is getting alarming.
In all this, I just know that man must keep living no matter what and this has given me the mindset to keep going, even if it means adjusting to the minimum.
It has been difficult for me to save money these days, I won't lie about it. It's almost as if I'm earning money just to eat and funnily, the feeding has not been on a standard level because there are days I just eat a little or anything available just to pass away the time.
These days before I go on the buy things, I first of all write everything down and give a good estimate of the price. I also reduce the quality of the things to buy just to have much and that will last longer. Sincerely, I know that quality matters but at this stage, I'm going for quantity especially on food items. A good example is buying the beans preserved with chemicals which is cheaper than the ones preserved without chemicals. Another example is buying the compressed tomatoes (raw) which sometimes look like they're decaying but they're not. This helps me to have more and cook a bigger pot of soup and also save money compared to going for the very flesh and neat tomatoes which are very expensive compared to the compressed ones. I'm sure I'm not the only one involved in this.

Also, I've reduced the way I visit people to save money from those transport fares. My city is very big and it's rare to go to places without using the motorcycle as a means of transportation. For this, I have reduced my movement to avoid spending on transportation hugely.
