Celebrating birthdays
This topic gave me a prompt to rate how I act on my birthdays and how I do on other people's birthdays. After much weighing, I found out that it's almost 50/50 but it's not. What do I mean by that? I would rate how I celebrate my birthday at 40%, while I give others 60%.

I'm not nonchalant when it comes to my birthday. I celebrate it, I make noise to the ears of my neighbors, and I also get disturbing in my social media life with posts here and there, replying to comments. I also get to eat something good that day, like a special meal I haven't eaten for a while or a meal I haven't tasted at all but have been longing to have. The same thing applies to drinks too. I tend to buy myself a bottle or two of soft drinks, either my favorite or one I haven't really tasted before, to satisfy my cravings.
I don't go out; I do all this in my house. Either I cook the food myself or I go out to buy it and eat at home. Of course, I can't produce drinks by myself, so I buy them and return home to enjoy myself.
I also do not buy myself new clothes. No, I don’t put much pressure on myself on such a day. After all, I'm not going out, nor do I do photoshoots.
It's my loved ones’ birthdays that I go all out for, especially when any of my siblings or parents are celebrating. For my parents, they don't get me involved so much; I do what I do based on willingness. But for my siblings, I get reminded a month before their birthday so I can prepare and sponsor things. Although I usually outsmart most of their demands and requests, I still get very involved, especially in the finances and making all the noise on social media, just to make them feel special.
This extends to my friends too. During their birthdays, I go all out for them. Although I may not spend as much as I do for family, I still spend, which is the opposite of how I get treated on my birthdays. Maybe it's because I don't make it a party-type or outing-type celebration, and that’s why I don't get gifts from friends, just Maybe. Lol
Thanks
