THE GLORY IN GHOSTING

We have more ghosts than people!
Have you ever ghosted someone?
Did you feel lighter after you ghosted the person?
And no, am not talking about ghosting someone you just met(even though that is still rude behavior).

I mean disappearing from the life of someone who held you so dear.
Y’all did life in years or even months.
The memories could and will not be erased.
You are etched in every action this person does.

What is the glory of ghosting?

I tried ghosting a person I thought I couldn’t do without, at least I did for a month but that month was heavy with :
What would this person think about me not talking to them anymore?
Are they hurting?
Do they miss the seamless conversation we had?
Am I a villain in their story?
What would they tell people made our friendship sour?

I had a good reason to not want to talk to this person anymore but I needed to communicate my reasons and when I did, I felt free to not talk to them again.
At least they now know why our friendship can’t be the same.
