Cats and Common Grooming Behaviour I

Cats are regarded as animals that obsess over cleanliness through their regular grooming habits. Grooming sessions can last for hours on end when observe throughout the day and it is not a surprise that a cat dedicates much time to maintaining its hygiene due to the volume of fur that occupies the body. Grooming is a constant effort that requires persistence and those with longer coats will face greater challenges in the way of knots and trapped debris. External assistance is required in all cases and regimes will var depending on length of fur. Grooming itself isn’t exclusively related to a cleaning process however. There are various reasons that a cat will groom and this will extend to their peers where grooming of other cats will occur.
