Technical and economic indicators of oil production are appreciated by oil companies as we aware. By it is impossible to avoid complications arising during oilfields operation which are capable to decline respective indicators.

As an example formations with inhomogeneous and layered composition can be named. Their the most permeable intervals are developed and watered primarily. Producing well watering is widespread problem on the oilfields.
As an insulation material, the polymer hydrogel of ARGOS is used, including the gel-forming composition of copolymers of acrylamide with acrylic acid, as well as the solvent of technical, reservoir, fresh fluids, fluids used for increasing reservoir pressure and structure-forming agent.

Such compositions mean a special type of solid, involving solids and elastomers properties . They are able to maintain their shape as solids; and develop large elastic reversible deformations when loaded as elastomers.

The insulating properties of such compositions are determined by their ability to be retained in pores, cracks, and caverns, first, due to the formation of chemical ties, while creating high resistance to the flow of water through the gel volume; second, due to the viscoelastic properties of such compositions.

The hydrogel technology has already proved its efficiency when used in wells in many regions of Russia.
