Torch Vizier & Grove Plate Review | Are They Worth Using?
Hi guys how are you all? Welcome back to another post.
Today Im back with another Splinterlands monster review. Actually today I'm going to talk about two monsters.
The first monster we're going to talk about today is Torch Vizier.
Torch Vizier is a Rare Fire Monster from the Rebellion set. It is a low mana assassin that is great at taking out weak enemy monsters especially those hiding in the backline.
Now let's look at its max level stats. It has a mana cost of 5 with 5 melee attack 4 speed 0 armor and 7 health.
It has two abilities. The first one is Opportunity which is available from Level 1. This ability lets Torch Vizier attack the enemy monster with the lowest health making it very effective at eliminating support monsters.
The second ability is Reflection Shield which unlocks at Level 4.
This protects the monster from reflected and indirect damage such as Blast Thorns Magic Reflect and Return Fire.
Talking about its strengths the first is its high melee attack. Dealing 5 melee damage for only 5 mana makes it a very powerful card. The second strength is its Opportunity ability which helps you remove weak enemy monsters quickly and gives you a big advantage during battles.
It also has a couple of weaknesses. First it has no armor so it can take heavy damage from direct attacks. Second strong attackers and crowd control effects can defeat it fairly quickly if you're not careful.
Overall I would give Torch Vizier a rating of 9.5 out of 10. In my opinion it's an excellent Fire monster and a great choice for many battle strategies.
The second monster I'm going to review today is Grove doomlade
Grove doomblade is a Rare Fire melee monster from the Conclave Arcana Reward set. It is designed as a powerful backline damage dealer. Its main job is to attack the enemy's backline and quickly eliminate support monsters.
It has a mana cost of 9 which makes it a good choice for medium and high mana battles. It is a Sneak attacker meaning it targets the last monster on the enemy team instead of attacking the front.
Now let's talk about its strengths. The first is its high melee damage especially at higher levels. The second is its Sneak ability which allows it to attack the enemy's last monster first. The third is Fury which deals double damage to monsters with the Taunt ability. The fourth is Stun which gives it a chance to stop an enemy monster from attacking for one round.
Grove doomblade is especially effective when you need to remove enemy healers or ranged attackers hiding in the backline.
It also has a few weaknesses. The first is its low speed so it usually attacks later than faster monsters. The second is its high mana cost which makes it a poor choice for low mana battles. The third is that it is not meant for the frontline. Even though it has very high damage it performs much better from the backline.
There are a few battle rules where Grove Plate really shines. The first is Reverse Speed where its low speed becomes an advantage. The second is high mana battles where its 9 mana cost is not a problem. The third is against teams that rely heavily on backline support monsters because Grove Plate can eliminate them quickly.
If I had to rate this monster I would give its attack 5 out of 5 because of its excellent damage output. For durability I would give it 3 out of 5 since it is not very tough. Overall I would rate Grove Plate 8.5 out of 10. It is a powerful backline attacker and a great choice for medium and high mana battles.
That's it for today's post. I hope you enjoyed it and found it helpful. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Thanks for reading and I'll see you in my next post. Goodbye
