My First Moka Pot
Hello guys....
How are you all? I hope you are all well and always happy. Nice to meet you all again. I'm back with my stories about my various activities, fun and exciting activities.
And this time my activity is making coffee, I just bought a tool for making coffee so I will show you how to use it. I really like coffee, that's why I really want to try various tools for making coffee, of course I will start from simple tools so that they are easy for me to use. Besides buying tools, I also bought new coffee grounds.
The tool I bought was a Moka Pot. A moka pot is a traditional Italian coffee maker that uses steam pressure from boiling water to extract ground coffee on the stovetop. It is popular for producing strong, concentrated coffee (similar to espresso) and makes an excellent base for iced coffee with milk (source: Wikipedia). Various brands sell moka pots, but this time I bought from the One Two Cups brand.
For the coffee, I used Traditional Sidikalang Coffee. Sidikalang coffee is a type of coffee native to North Sumatra, Indonesia, and thrives in areas above 1,500 meters above sea level with cool climates. Sidikalang coffee has a fairly high caffeine content, at 70-80%, with a very distinctive flavor.
The advantages of Sidikalang coffee are:
- A fragrant, spicy aroma.
- Nutty, chocolatey, spicy, yet slightly sweet flavor.
- Low caffeine content.
- Low acidity.
How to make
Prepare hot water
Put the coffee powder into the coffee chamber (this is in the middle of the device). Then smooth it out.
- Fill the water chamber (located at the bottom of the device) with hot water, making sure not to fill the water above the lower limit of the valve.
- Heat it on the stove, the coffee will slowly come out from the top.
- When the coffee is finished brewing, pour the coffee into a cup.
And finally, my first moka pot coffee is ready. It's very fragrant and has a delicious taste. It's recommended to use hot water to shorten the brewing time.
Using this moka pot is very easy and simple, very suitable for drinking home coffee.
Okay, that's my activity this time. Thank you for reading my story, see you in my next story~
