My New Hobby
This last year has been an interesting one. I’ve had a lot of time to just sit at home, so I figured I should get a new hobby.
Well, I bought some silicone molds online and some Jesmonite and started making various terrazzo goods.
Jesmonite consists of a powder and a liquid, I just mix the two and add what ever color I want.
The best thing about this material: it sets in just one hour! Can you believe it?
A decorative tray I made. I made white chips and added them to a black base.
For the terrazzo effect to be visible I have to sand down the products.
What a great way to kill some time! 😂 I have made trays, candle stick holders, hair accessories and flower pots.
I can mix any color I want, I just have to know how to mix the primary colors.
I love my new hobby! But my house looks like a small factory right now. Ha ha.
