Learning To Share, Sharing To Learn - Hello, Sunil Here
Hello Everyone...
This is Sunil Chavan from India. I am a software engineer, left a safe job and trying to run my own startup. Before telling more about myself, I would like to share Why I am here on Steemit?
First of all, I came to know about steemit because I am into crypto scene. I have invested a little into altcoins. More I read about it more I got fascinated by it. A social platform where content creators can earn for their quality work, this idea intrigued me. I can understand why a lot of content creators are excited about it. I am a blogger, that's my startup actually. It's a media company in India (TeenAtHeart) where I and my team write about educational stuff and overall teenagers lifestyle.
I understand the pain of content creators. Competition, Intrusive ads, user attention span, limited revenue streams, ad blindness, ad blockers blah blah blah. I am going through all of it.
When I researched about steemit, I thought its a great revenue stream for my content. But If I do that, it will be one more beast to handle; whales, steempower, upvotes, bots and all that...
I gave a thought about it for a week and I decided that rather than treating it just as a revenue stream, I will use it to speak my heart out. I had this idea of sharing my #life story, experiences etc from a long time. I could have easily written a blog about it but I never got time. I tried to speak to people around me, but they simply don't get it. I fail to make them understand why I left the job, why I took such a big risk. I wanted to share my experiences with them, wanted to learn from them; but these people drowned in consumerism and rat race. In short, I realize I don't belong there.
I hope; here on steemit I will be able to build a community which is interested in sharing their experiences and learning from each other. That's what I am here for.
I am literally here to speak my heart out. I am here to connect with like-minded people, who see the world differently, who don't afraid to take risks. I am here to share my journey and to learn from you guys. If I earn some money doing this then that's great (who don't like money), but that's not my real intent.
I really don't have the patience to game the system, use tricks and hacks; I can apply all those strategies in my existing business (if I had to). I already have a lot of on my shoulders, I don't want to do the same here.
If you guys feel the same, let's build a great community here. What do you think? I am not sure, this is a correct form of #introduceyourself post but I just wrote whatever I felt like. I tried to follow the guides from
@teamsteem - How to Introduce Yourself
@alcibiades - 8 Mistakes I See Beginners Make on Steemit
Who would like to join me here? Let's start a conversation, let's learn from each other.
