Need my guitars so bad
I wanted to record a song for @radioliquorice at the weekend, so I pulled up Ardour and plugged in my guitars via my Zoom G3X. I played Need Your Love So Bad by Fleetwood Mac at our last open mic and wanted to do a full version with a solo.
I did the rhythm part with my Benford custom Telecaster and the lead with my Gordon Smith GS2. On the latter I was having some issues with the signal to the computer, but I think it was just a dodgy connection. I used the Soul Food boost at the end. Next I did the vocal with my MXL 990 condenser and added a little reverb. Finally I recorded some drums with the Yamaha DD-65 kit. This was all done in a bit of a rush, so I could probably have done some better drumming, but this is just for fun.
You can hear the full radio show here, but my track is below. I also sent in a couple of old pub performances that I had recorded years ago.
I will count this as a Monday #DrumDay and an early #TeleTuesday.
Rock on!
