Drumming out the end of September

Some of you may have seen that I did another September song a while back. The actual month just ended and I was inspired to do this one. Of course Drumeo had the notation and a drumless backing track, so I gave it a go. I have only played it through a couple of times.

It always seems to be the way that I have some technical issues with recording these videos. This time I could not hear the drums through my speakers. It turned out that I had forgotten that I unplugged the cable recently. I recorded the audio on the PC and video with my phone, so I had to do the usual job of synchronising those. Then it turned out that the backing track had not been recorded, so I had to edit that in too. At least that let me adjust the balance.

So here is another performance from me. It is by no means polished, but it was fun.

As usual I was on my Roland TD-07 kit. Roland just launched a new top end kit, but that is way out of my price range. My next purchase may be some decent cymbals for my acoustic kit.

I may be trying a different style soon as my musician friends and I will be branching out. I know I can find lessons on Drumeo to help me along. We do not have any more gigs lined up yet, but we are always up for getting out to entertain.
