🏆 Hivechess Season 22 Final Results: @maestroask and @odic3o1 Are The Champions 🏆
Dear chess fans,
yesterday the final round of S22 was played! It was a 4+0 Swiss tournament over 9 rounds with 14 players of an average rating of 1870. Unfortunately I couldn´t make it😢.

Season stats
In season 22 in total 29 players were participating (16 less than in S21!), also the average participation per round was with 17,6 players much lower than in the previous one (21 players).
At least the number of players who participated regularly (which is the whole point of a seasonal event over 10 rounds) was a bit better this season (<14% of players played only one or two rounds (it was >42% in S21). The number of rounds played on average by the players went up from 5,6 in S21 to 6, in the Challengers it was a bit higher (6,4%) than in the Masters (5,6%).
But regardless, because the number of players went down so massively (and the minimum participation threshold of 5/10 rounds), only 19 (65%) players qualify for rewards (in S21 it was 21)!
Only 4 players had played all 10 rounds, all of them in the Challengers!
The prizepool from the post rewards will be record-breaking (at least in Hive, not in $) 2750 Hive (last season it was 2350), plus 10K MEDALS from Hive account@blanchy! As always, all prizes will be transferred in about a week, after the payout of this post (and any other posts using Hive account@badge-646464 as beneficiary).
