Remote work intensifies challenges for IT security

Network security is an omnipresent and growing challenge for IT teams, especially with regards to the currently large number of remote workers. Their task is complicated by network performance issues and the inability to upgrade the entire network. The daily routine of basic network maintenance also inhibits further innovation.

An additional challenge is that organizations often view security as a waste of resources rather than a business advantage. IT teams are looking for a solution with built-in network visibility that provides a data-driven context for faster security tools, automation, and widespread policy enforcement to address these challenges. This approach provides meaningful insight while avoiding additional costs and allowing IT teams to pursue more strategic projects by reducing workload.

The awarenss within all organization for the importance of IT-Security is key for succes no matter the tools and execution. Every organization will have a competitive advantage as long as board members understand Cyber Security as an opprtunity and not only expense that slows down innovation. Remote work only intensifies this trend and increases the importance.

Maybe organizations should decrease office capacities and reallocate those funds into Cyber Security. Thus solve many problems at once ;)
