Learning Piano by Ear #1
I just moved to a new place.
They have a piano, and often, I am here by myself.
This presents a unique opportunity.
I have never been a fan of sight-reading, so instead I am going to attempt to learn by ear. My only training as a musician is as a drummer, but I also program music using Logic. This has given my stuff a naturally electronic slant. To combat this, I have been using field recordings to bring in an organic element. I am thinking of the piano in the same way.
