White House Bans Cell Phones
The white house is banning employees and guests from using personal cell phones in the West Wing, citing security concerns. On Jan 4, White House press secretary Sarah said that the “security and integrity of the technology systems at the White House is a top priority for the Trump administration and therefore starting next week the use of all personal devices for both guests and staff will no longer be allowed in the West Wing. Staff will be able to conduct business on their government-issued devices and continue working hard on behalf of the American people. “ Some aides complained that the rule will make it difficult for them to keep in contact with their families as official government phones don’t allow texting. However, many intelligence agencies already ban personal phones from the workplace. Also, despite repeated accusations by President Trump and other White House officials of insider leaks to journalists, Sanders insisted that the decision was not about leaks.
