Apertura y flexibilidad

Una actitud de curiosidad y apertura nos mantiene en constante aprendizaje. El que cree saber se cierra a lo nuevo, "se come el cuento" y pierde la valiosa oportunidad de recibir algo diferente a lo que tiene preconcebido. Se limita, entonces, a detenerse por un momento y cuestionarse, integrar nueva información, preguntarse o debatir las propias ideas. En el conocimiento ser terco es peligroso. Ser flexible, abierto, en cambio, invita al diálogo y al intercambio de posturas.

Ahora mismo el mundo está muy dividido de polaridades y todos creen tener la razón. Pero además, buscan convencer desde la ira y discusiones elevadas de tono.
La terapia que practico me ha enseñado a escuchar, a convivir, incluso, con lo que considero inadecuado. Y quizás lo más importante, a "soltar",aceptar radicalmente aquello que no puedo cambiar, y centrarme, en cambio, en lo que sí...

An attitude of curiosity and openness keeps us in constant learning. He who thinks he knows closes himself to the new, “eats the story” and loses the valuable opportunity to receive something different from what he has preconceived. He limits himself, then, to stop for a moment and question himself, integrate new information, ask himself questions or debate his own ideas. In knowledge, being stubborn is dangerous. Being flexible, open, on the other hand, invites dialogue and the exchange of positions.

The therapy I practice has taught me to listen, to coexist, even with what I consider inadequate. And perhaps most importantly, to “let go”, to radically accept what I cannot change, and to focus instead on what I can....
