Mount Semeru Started Erupting in Indonesia
One of the highest and active volcanoes on Java island of Indonesia started erupting on 15th October. This is the fifth time this year it has happened. Its a 3676meters high stratovolcano, primary ejecting basaltic andestite lava type.
2686 people live within 5 kilometers of the volcano and a total of about 72200 people with 18500 households are affected
The mountain definitely looks scenic over the landscape. You can google this mountain and see more photos of the eruption.
