Crooked Forest

I think this is pretty cool and categorizes as a unique feature of nature. This is a crooked forest that is located in Poland, near the town of Gryfino. Many trees you see there are odd-shaped, trees that look extremely weird.

This forest is a protected natural monument in Poland and it features about 400 trees like this. These pine trees were planted around 1930 and it is believed that they got this shape through some kind of human manipulation. Maybe some tool was used to make these shaped like this. Bottom line is that no one knows how these shapes formed really.

The interesting thing is that I have seen a tree like this in Estonia as well. In Roosta recreation center in western Estonia. Here is a photo where I'm sitting on a tree like this.

This is even more strangely shaped if you ask me. I believe the top of the tree was cut off when it was a sapling and then it somehow formed this crazy shape. Either way, it seems a mystery how these are formed exactly.
