The old-style private school
The old-style private school called Nanhu Academy, is in Hongcun ancient town, Yixian county, Anhui Province. It is part of the world cultural heritage of Hongcun.
It was built more than 200 years ago, well preserved and has become one of the representative buildings of Huizhou architecture.
The pillars and beams are mostly the whole huge wood, the beam frame is joined by tenon and mortise, the eaves are arched, the structure is tight.
