Wednesday Pedal?

Here is not a walk but a pedaling experience for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

I took a pedal boat that you power on bike-style pedals in a small boat. The main goal was to get out from the city river to this desolate view of the lighthouse on Lake Michigan.

Now if you look back at Milwaukee from the lake you can see a mid city sized skyline. Not nearly as big as Chicago but a lot more chill than Chicago.

While on the river on the pedal boat you pass by various docks with some large but mostly small boats.

The city seemed quite desolate at this time because everyone was expecting a rip roaring storm that didn't happen. Also I wonder if people work from home on Thursdays here...

For the larger boats the highway bridges have to split open to let them by.

Milwaukee has some interesting little river walk decorations, mostly fish and bird themed.

Speaking of bird themed sculptures... A scale sized sculpture of a seagull.

I wonder how polluted the fish are in this river... Maybe less polluted than the ones in the Chicago river.

Condos with a view over the river. I wonder if the association also owns the docks for kayaking?

Now this is the manufacturing side of the city where trains have to haul large things out of factories every now and then.

Here is an old water tower by the Harley Davidson Museum. Its a good visit if you ever get a chance to come to Milwaukee.

Finally I returned back to the dock and just as I was getting in we did get the rip roaring storm. A few tornadoes touched down in the farmland areas and some in Chicago. Thankfully I didn't get too soaked as the boat had a little shade shelter on it.
