Nutria - a family in a pond
Last weekend I went over to some local fish pond near where we live, to take photos of birds, and all of a sudden we noticed something nice on the other side of the pond.
From a hole in the ground emerged a family of Nutria!
The Nutria is a semi-aquatic rodent, that was brought here to Israel in the 60's for the fur industry, but as the industry failed they were released to nature and are now very common around every place with water in the country.
