2009 Great Britain Silver Britannia PROOF
The Britannia silver coins were first released in 1997. Starting 1999 to 2011, all the odd-numbered years, a series of alternate, non-repeating depictions of Britannia replaced the standing figure on the reverse.1
The 2009 Great Britain Silver Britannia reuses the 1997 and 1999 design [HERE], where Britannia is depicted standing with a chariot drawn by two horses. The design is by Phillip Nathan.
The earlier issues of the uncirculated coins are delightful. I think that the Britannia is one of the most beautiful bullion coins.
